In a recent report by Entertainment Tonight, it has been revealed that the nanny of Katharine McPhee and David Foster has passed away. The exact cause of the nanny’s death, who took care of McPhee and Foster’s child, hasn’t been disclosed as of now, according to ET.

Although McPhee and Foster have not addressed the nanny’s passing in public statements, the former American Idol contestant did share on social media that they were going through a “horrible tragedy.” The couple, who got married in June 2019 after being friends for years, have a two-year-old daughter named Rennie.

In a recent Instagram post, McPhee informed her followers that she would not be able to continue with the remaining two shows of her and her husband’s Asia tour. She expressed her deep sadness and explained that a distressing family incident requires her or her husband to return home.

Addressing her devoted Jakarta fans, McPhee shared, “Dearest Jakarta fans, it is with a heavy heart I announce I have to miss our final 2 shows of our Asia run. David and I have had a horrible tragedy in our family, and at least one of us needs to get back home to our family.”

In response to McPhee’s Instagram post, where she shared the sad news about her family’s situation, many of her friends and followers extended their best wishes. Among them, Linda Thompson, who was once married to Foster, wrote, “Sending you and David love, & hoping that everything is OK.”

Amanda Kloots shared, “Sending you loads of love. I’m thinking of you guys.” Nicole Sherzinger added, “Sending my love and prayers for your family.”

Foster stayed behind to perform his Saturday show

David Foster remained in Indonesia to deliver the final performance of his Hitman Asia tour this Saturday in Jakarta. The renowned musician was accompanied by an impressive lineup, including Michael Bolton, Loren Allred, Peabo Bryson, and Raisa.

Earlier this month, McPhee took to Instagram to express her anticipation for the upcoming Asia tour. She shared a post showcasing glimpses of the show and wrote, “SINGAPORE! I’m so excited to come see you guys for the first time! Get your tickets now.”

Efforts have been made by Yahoo News to contact spokespersons for both Katharine McPhee and David Foster. However, as of now, no response has been received from their representatives.
