Hayden Panettiere, known for her acting roles and public life, shared a heartfelt message on social media to commemorate the birthday of her late brother, Jansen Panettiere. On what would have been his 29th birthday, Hayden took to Instagram to express her love and remembrance for her younger brother.

Posting a childhood photo of themselves smiling under a Christmas tree, Hayden’s caption read, “Happy Birthday little brother. I miss you everyday. I’ll love you forever.” The emotional tribute touched the hearts of her followers, as Hayden continues to cope with the loss of her beloved sibling.

Tragically, Jansen passed away only seven months ago at the age of 28. According to a report from the Orangetown Police Department, a friend discovered Jansen unresponsive in his New York home after he failed to attend a scheduled business meeting. Despite the friend’s attempts to revive him with CPR, Jansen was pronounced dead upon the arrival of emergency medical technicians.

Jansen’s father, Alan Lee “Skip” Panettiere, informed authorities that he had spoken to his son the night before and had no reason to suspect anything was amiss. The exact cause of Jansen’s death was revealed later by his family to be aortic valve complications resulting from cardiomegaly or an enlarged heart.

‘Jansen’s heart could be seen in his eyes’

In a statement provided to Us Weekly, Jansen’s family remembered him as a talented and empathetic individual. They said, “Jansen’s heart could be seen in his eyes, and his charm in his brilliant, engaging smile; his soul in his masterful and revealing paintings, and the joy of life in his dry wit.” They expressed that Jansen’s charisma, warmth, and creativity will forever live on in their hearts and in the hearts of everyone who knew him.

Hayden Panettiere’s loss has been a difficult journey, and she has been open about her grief. In an emotional appearance on Good Morning America, Hayden shared that she feels her brother’s presence with her, placing her hand on her heart.

Jansen followed in his sister’s footsteps as an actor and appeared in movies such as Ice Age: The Meltdown, The Martial Arts Kid, and The Forger. He had also made his television debut on Disney Channel’s Even Stevens at the young age of eight.

Beyond acting, Jansen was an artist known for his vibrant abstract paintings that he showcased on his Instagram account. His final social media upload was a photo of his girlfriend, Catherine Michie, standing in front of a portrait that Jansen had seemingly painted. This post was made just two days before his untimely death.
