Jeff Bezos has apparently purchased a $68 million home in a special area of Florida known as the “Billionaire Bunker.” This news comes a month after he asked Lauren Sanchez to marry him.
Jeff Bezos, the person who started Amazon and is currently the third wealthiest person on the planet, with a lot of money, around $163 billion, as said by Bloomberg.
He bought a house with three bedrooms and three bathrooms on Indian Creek Island in June. This was a private deal, not something that was openly advertised.
A month earlier, Bezos and Sanchez were seen on his very expensive $500 million yacht near the Spanish island of Mallorca. This was right after he asked Sanchez to marry him. He gave her a huge diamond that was worth a lot of money, around $2.5 million.
Some famous people will be living near Bezos and his soon-to-be wife in their new home. These neighbors include Tom Brady, Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner, Carl Icahn, and a singer from Spain named Julio Iglesias.
Constructed in the year 1965, the big house covers an area of 9,259 square feet. It’s located on a piece of land that is 2.8 acres big on a man-made island called Indian Creek Island. This island is like a fortress and is situated just outside of Biscayne Bay. What’s interesting is that the island has its own town with a mayor and its own police force.

Before Jeff Bezos bought it, the house belonged to someone else. The previous owner was Tulia Soucy de Gonzalez Gorrondona. She used to work in the hotel business and was a manager at a company called MTM Star International Corp. This company has connections to Panama, as reported by Bloomberg.
Records available to the public indicate that the most recent sale of the house was back in 1982 when it was sold for $1.4 million. If we take into account the changes in the value of money over time (inflation), that would be about $4.4 million in today’s dollars.
When asked for a comment, representatives of Bezos did not respond to The Post’s request promptly.
Indian Creek has around 40 properties that are right next to the water, giving them a waterfront view. On top of that, there’s an 18-hole golf course that covers a big area of 294 acres. Additionally, there are special docks made from Brazilian teak wood.
These docks are where really big and fancy boats, over 100 feet long, are parked. This is great for Bezos because he has a massive yacht called Koru that’s 417 feet long. This yacht even has its own helipad, a swimming pool, and a figure of a mermaid that looks like Sanchez at the front part of the boat.
